What I expect this to be….. at least for now!!!!!

So, why am I starting a blog in 2020? I know, I am a little behind the times, but I was always paralyzed from fear. Fear of what….embarrassment, failing, putting content out subject to criticism. And I would validate this with comments like “my industry is highly regulated.” Silly I know. It was just an excuse, but if I want to build something bigger I need to be willing to do what I once wasn’t. That is committing to marketing myself and my business.

What you can expect from RICHlyThinking? First, the name was created using Godaddy and a Thesaurus to find a combination of words including Rich (play on my name) available as a domain, surprisingly difficult.

Well there are 168 hours in the week. I spend roughly 49 hours sleeping. That leave 119 hours a week I am working, spending time with family and friends, exercising, reading, coaching and more. I plan to contribute mostly on personal finance, but I am not going to exclude other topics that strike my curiosity. I want this to be a personal blog that reflects my interests, thinking and promotes my business(es).

To give you an idea of my eclectic interests…..

My current reading list…

  • Feeling Good by David Burns

  • Daily Stoic by Ryan Holiday

  • Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat: The BRRRR Rental Property Investment Strategy Made Simple by David Greene

  • The War of Art: Break Through the Blocks and Win Your Inner Creative Battles by Steven Pressfield

  • Meditations: A New Translation by Marcus Aurelius

I could also show also show you the range of my Podcast shows, Youtube videos, projects around the house and other random things I try. If you stick around I am sure you will quickly get to know.

Expect this to be a lot of personal finance with a mix of my some of my random interests and thoughts. What ever it is, I hope it is useful.

Most importantly, I just need to get started and change as needed. Currently, I just need to appeal to a reader of one (me). As that changes, the blog can change.
